Byredo’s Oud Immortel Eau de Parfum is based on the scent of oud, a special type of wood that has been used for centuries in the production of incense and perfume. Over time, it has acquired great cultural significance, as evidenced by its mention in one of the world’s oldest written texts – the Indian Vedas. When a very specific type of mould spreads across the light hardwood of the agarwood tree, the tree protects itself by saturating its bark with a dark, strongly scented resin.
