The Malin + Goetz Leather Candle is a tribute to a time when craftsmen would scent their leather goods to mask the unpleasant odour of freshly tanned leather. This gave rise to what we now recognise as the characteristic leather scent – both authentic and refined. The leather scent is unmistakable and highly appealing, and it inevitably evokes a sense of nostalgia. The natural wax blend burns cleanly and slowly, lasting for 60 hours. Notes – Top: lotus blossom, pepper and clove – Heart: lily of the valley, single-coloured violet, iris root and orchid – Base: leather, cedarwood, sandalwood, musk, amber and frankincense Instructions for use: Trim the wick to 6 mm before each use. Place on a heat-resistant, non-flammable surface. Protect from draughts; do not place against a wall. On first use, allow to burn for at least 2–3 hours; thereafter, do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time. Do not use once the candle has burnt down to 1.3 cm of wax. Warning: Do not leave unattended. Only burn within sight. Keep away from flammable materials. Keep out of reach of children and pets. - 255 grams
